Coffee Date:: May 30, 2014

Hello friends! How are you? It's been such a sort week! I loved having the day with my family because of the long weekend and holiday. Even though we didn't do a whole lot it was just nice to have the day to sit and be lazy.

Donuts may have been involved.

Mmmkay!

Now, it's your turn... how was your weekend?

Coffee Date:: Thrive Moms

Good morning friends. Happy Friday.

How was your week? Mine was good. Eventful, I woke up Monday morning with car troubles. Not the best way to start your week.

But I was quickly reminded to keep things into perspective. Because they could have been worse, I know because I've been in worse situations than measly car troubles. As I am sure so have you.

So that perspective I was talking about? It's Jesus. Keeping focused on Him. Remembering that he's got it all. That he sees me, my situation and my family.

He sees yours too. He's the redeemer of all things if we let him.

You may have seen if you're following me on Instagram (@andreamworley) I announced last week that I'm now officially apart of the Thrive Moms team! I couldn't be more excited about this new adventure.

For a long time now God has put moms and mothering on my heart. Maybe it's because last year was such a struggle in my mothering journey, or maybe it's because I so desperately want the "mommy wars" to end I can taste it! Or maybe it's ALL the things. Either way he's been tugging at my heart for Moms.

I first learned about Thrive Moms almost a year ago when they first started and have been following them ever since they reached out to me on Twitter one day as asked me how they could pray for me. It was so heart felt and sincere. And I was thankful on a day when I felt like I had nothing left inside as a mom, they were the encouragement I needed.

Thrive is a ministry for mothers. To help encouraged, inspired and uplift. They have a big heart for moms all over and I'm excited to use my talents and gifts God's blessed me with to help further his message and heart for moms through Thrive.

It's funny though my word for the year 2014 is THRIVE. God has a great sense of humor. :)

For more info on Thrive Moms and how you can be apart of local community groups where you are visit the link on the menu bar that I've added to the site. There's an awesome community of moms there for you.

If we were having coffee today what would you tell me? How has your week been? What are you doing this weekend?

PS- I wanna say a special Happy Birthday today to my Mama! She's the best in the world, and I love her so much!

Coffee Date:: Healthy Kids & Thrifting Fun!

Happy Friday! Welcome to coffee date!

If you follow me on Instagram (@andreamworley) you've already most likely seen this photo. This week I was heading out the door for one of my nightly runs when Ava asked if she could go running with me. We made it about two blocks and she said;

"Mom can we go home and do a work out video?"

Isn't that the funniest thing?! She makes me laugh so much. I love that she's interested in doing these things with me. It's a small reminder of how much I want to teach her about healthy habits and instill eating well and being active into her everyday life. She asked us for "running" shoes so that she could run with mommy. She also wanted to wear and tank top like me too. It also reminds me that she's watching us and taking in everything we do.

If we were having coffee today, I'd tell you that I went thrifting this week. I haven't gone to thrift shops in a while. And every now and then I find some good deals! This week I found these Pottery Barn ornament frames. They were brand new with the tags and in the box. They are perfect, every year we take a picture in front of our Christmas tree, frame it and hang it on the tree the following year. It's fun to see how we've changed over the years.

I got rid of 3 bags of clothing in my closet of things that didn't fit as part of my #40bagsin40days project. Losing weight is like a double edge sword, on one hand you loose weight but on the other you have nothing that fits. Don't get me wrong, I'm not complaining but I also don't have the budget to go out and buy a whole new wardrobe. So this week while thrifting, I found some good deals on some gently used stuff. Banana Republic skirt, Express shorts and a Merona skirt all for $10! At those prices I can afford to add a few new things to my closet.

So, if were having coffee today what would you tell me about your week?

Hope you have a fabulous weekend friends.

Coffee Date:: Girls Weekend!

coffeedate.jpg

Good Morning! Happy Friday friends! I really wanted to record a video for you and have something up but this week totally got away from me! Monday I woke up to a baby who'd puked all over himself and Ava who had a fever of 102! So it was off to the Doctor with both kiddos! They are doing much better now, so I'm thankful for that.

If we were having coffee today I'd tell you that I've joined my best girl friends in the Windy City for a girls' weekend! We haven't all been together in years, and I'm excited to spend the weekend together. Can't wait to share all of my adventures from the weekend.

If we were having coffee this week, what would you tell me? Have any sick kids too? What have you been up to?!

Have a great weekend friends!
